ripoffs.org welcomes your complaints or additional information about complaints listed below. We encourage you to submit any complaints or relevant information to us for review. If you object to a complaint about your company or organization please contact us. When complaints are resolved the stories will remain, but the company names will be removed.
The following represent some of our successes in obtaining refunds and adjustments. Since the companies involved settled their names have been removed. All testimonial letters are available at our office for review. Last names are witheld to protect the privacy of our clients.

CARRENTAL
The person who filed the complaint received the following letter after we contacted the car rental agency:

"We are writing to advise you that after further review the decision was made to no longer pursue this claim. The collection agency has been notified and their file has been closed. We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused. Please contact me if you have any questions or additional concerns. If not, please contact editor@ripoffs.org to advise them that this matter has been resolved."

We received the following e-mail from the person who filed the complaint:

"Your assistance saved me from choosing between paying (the car rental company) over $700 or flying to Florida to defend myself in court. Thank you."

CREDIT & BANKING
An e-mail response to us from the company about which Genevieve complained began:

"Thank you for your email. With regards to the case pertaining to Genevieve, we have escalated her case to be attended to immediately."

After we contacted the company the resolution required four business days. Genevieve wrote:

"Hi, Gary- Just wanted to let you know that (the company) did indeed refund my money -- the full balance ($1,430)--and it was deposited into my checking account that I had registered with them. I hope that this will be the end of my association and related problems with them. I have lodged complaint after complaint with them, but not until I contacted you and your organization did they finally pay some attention to the situation. I found your website by surfing the web and I am glad that I did. I will most definetly recommend you to other people."
